Welcome back guys, it’s Randy! Today’s video shows a major milestone has been reached, being that the southwest structural steel looks to be completed and we’ll dive into the details further in just a bit. Of course there are plenty of other updates to see, but I tried to cover everything pretty quickly today due to some time constraints, so let’s jump right into the overview.
Here are today’s key takeaways:
-The north end shows workers assembling some type of skeletal structure by hand that kind of resembles what you’d see of a large tent, but I’m not sure that’s what this is given the vast number of pieces we see in the area.
-The sections we saw for the stairwell on the east-facing side of the BIW building’s southern end shows them already being installed.
-The southern gap shows even more of the soil removed from the big dig area we saw yesterday.
-The southwest corner structural steel installation looks to have been mostly completed and I can only see just a single beam missing located at the roofline near the bend in the crane’s boom arm. Chances are this was left out for a likely topping out ceremony on Thursday. All of the steel we saw in the area 2 days ago is now in place and we’ll next see the rest of the steel decking spread out over the structure. A quick look over at the bridge area shows continued work on the road and we now have much better defined roads and a large median on this side of the bridge.
-The GA west side shows new and existing trench work being done to accommodate more conduit that needs to be buried south of the latest lot section to be paved.
-The northern gap shows a good amount of new columns and beams erected on the eastern wall, as well as more steel decking that was spread.
-Yesterday we saw some major work being done to address some sort of water issue on the west side of the BCP building and we can see the work is still ongoing, but it looks under control as we can see the pumps running from the hole where the water is contained and being released into one of the drainage inlets next to the factory. We wrap up with a look at the wall panel progress on the angled corner, as well as seeing work being done on the roof on the Evapco chillers and the roof fittings around each one.
