Gigafactory Texas on 19 January 2022! This is where the Cyber Truck and Model Y will be built!
I did not intend to get interior shots today, but the weather made the lighting perfect, so I took the opportunity to look inside the West side Battery Cell and General Assembly areas this early morning. We see a lot of activity, and in a few photos if you look closely, you can see onto the ground floor of the General Assembly area where more Model Y's are in production, apparently.
We also see workers unwrapping and working on the Zeppelin aeration nozzles on the NW side of the battery cell structure, and on the far east side, we see hundreds of containers and crates labelled "Zeppelin" as well ... much more than I have seen previously.
In this video introduction segment, we look at Zeppelin Systems mixing silo parts that arrived at the site recently and discuss what these are for and what this may mean for certain production areas in Giga Texas.
We then look back 3 months ago to see how Giga Texas appeared then and to help see how much has changed in such a short time. The intent of this lookback is to help the viewer compare, see the unbelievable speed of progress, and to appreciate the amount of work that has been accomplished to bring Giga Texas to the start of production in 2022.

Discussion about Zeppelin Systems components: 0:06 to 2:21
3-month ago lookback to assess progress: 2:22 to 4:17
Drone flight footage & infographics: 4:44 to 25:04
Here are some more highlights from the drone flight this morning:
- As mentioned, I was able to get some really good interior images and video of the west side battery cell and general assembly, including many workers on stations in the battery cell area and more of what may be display parts of Model Y's for the coming Giga Texas Grand Opening in the General Assembly 2nd floor area. Also, a few images allow views onto the ground floor of the General Assembly area and we see more Model Y's in various states of production.
- We see crews working on the south end of the Stamping roof, removing the lining and preparing for a sloped transition to the stamping extension roof, in a manner very similar to how they did this on the casting roof recently. They have one section completed and beginning work on the next
- The grading work on the south parking is mostly completed, with the east side now ready for the gravel mix top coating to match the rest. We also see trenching on the completed gravel area, suggesting light pole conduits are being installed, and perhaps more charging stations as well ... we will need to watch and see what they do
- On the east parking area, we see concrete being added on top of part of the underground storm water pipe installation, while other areas show rebar ready for concrete. Three areas of further excavation are active this morning, installing more of the pipe and covering it up with a gravel and dirt mixture
- Farther to the east material staging area, we see many large containers and crates labelled "Zeppelin", which is related to other parts on the NW side of the battery cell as we discuss in the video intro. Clearly, this will be a large silo and materials mixing system that is being assembled inside!
- Much farther northeast, we see a new land clearing area with active tree removal, hill levelling and dirt excavation. This was started many months ago, but work has now resumed and expanded ... unsure what this area will be for but will monitor to see!
- On the west side of the highway, we see more Sedek Glass stored in this area in large crates on trailers (same glass company as that provided the very large glass panels on the west side), and additional materials being temporarily stored.
