Tesla Terafactory Texas Update #141 in 4K: Blistering Weekend Progress - 04/19/21 (5:00pm | 76°F)

Hey guys, it’s Randy! In today’s video, we get to see the results of the blistering pace of progress over the weekend. We’ll get a good look at some major updates, as well as take a visit across the toll road to check on the land clearing being done rumored to be for SpaceX.

Here are today’s key takeaways:
-Starting at the paint shop, we immediately see that the installation of the concrete panels on the north facing side of the building is almost complete. On the roof at this same end, we see that the vents for the paint shop equipment are in the process of being installed. Next we see the progress on the combined roof areas of the paint shop and the Giga Press. The south end of the paint shop shows the large excavated area south of the wall now spanning the full width of the space it occupies and along the sides we can see yellow wall paneling has been installed to the side where the GA area is and the other side shows 3 of the massive Trane chillers positioned on the second level of the BIW area.
-The Giga Press area shows that assembly is in progress for the second Giga Press machine and also that concrete flooring has been poured in the small area between the machines and the paint shop wall.
-The south end shows a new path of underground electrical cabling being laid that is coming from the set of green transformer boxes headed for what looks like the east side of the factory.
-The GA south expansion seems to have doubled over the past 4 days and this section also has most of the floor and roof decking applied as well. The north end of the GA area shows a large area of the roof insulation has been applied and the ramp has had concrete poured. We can also see from this same image how much the battery cell production area has also grown and is about halfway across the designated area for the structure.
-We finish at the main site by checking out the far east clearing and can see the major progress as the standing water is much less than before and most of the area is at the same level now as crews continue to smooth it out.
-Parked on Harold Greene Road were a few trucks with some significant payloads, especially the one with the large metal cylinder and what looks to be something for ventilation.
-Across the toll road, we take a look at the southwest clearing area, which is rumored to be the future home of SpaceX’s Austin facility, we see that this is a full on operation and crews are working to smooth out the land as soon as possible. We can already see piles of the black piping used for the fire water loop system like at the Tesla site across the street already in several stacks in different locations here. The clearing runs almost all the way back to the Colorado River and up to FM 973 and a housing subdivision. This is another huge piece of land!
