The speaker discusses approaches to achieving affordability, different ways of using cost estimation, and how to present your net-zero building design to overcome the barrier and the myth that these buildings are not affordable.
About The Speaker: Jagadeesh Taluri is a Senior Consultant at Alliance for an Energy Efficient Economy (AEEE). He is an Architect and IIM, Calcutta alumnus, has over nineteen years of professional experience in the design and development of large-scale corporate and institutional projects. He spearheaded notable projects such as the National Secretariat Complex for the Royal Government of Bhutan and Suzlon One Earth Campus in Pune which got LEED Platinum and TERI 5-star rating. He was trained in advance energy simulations and low energy HVAC design by various International experts and US National Labs. Jagadeesh’s areas of interest are Life Cycle Costing, High-Performance Buildings, and evolving efficient built-forms that suit the Indian socio, economic and cultural conditions. He has studied architecture from SPA, JNTU, and Applied Finance from IIM Calcutta. He is member of Council of Architecture.
