Shuttle Bus Build Ep 16 | Gray Water Tanks, Quora Fireballs, Faucets/Water Filter

In this episode we mounted two grey water tanks underneath the bus, tell you all about how to protect your build with Quora Distribution AFG Fireballs, show our two faucet installs and APEC 3 stage water filter, finish the interior shelves and drawers of the closet, extend the ceiling down the wall over the booth and hang the woven pendant light!

First we had to find a place for two gray water tanks underneath the bus. We decided on an 18 gallon tank for the shower and a 25 gallon tank in the rear for the sink. The next challenge was figuring out a way to mount them to the frame of the bus. We designed a double bracket that bolts to the frame, supports the tank, and has a lower portion that sandwiches the tank in between.

In this video we are excited to tell you all about our first build partner: Quora Distribution! These AFG Fireballs are an alternative to a fire extinguisher and will protect your home from fires. 3 Quora fireballs will be included with the new build and strategically placed around the bus to help stop fires before they spread. It’s easy to prioritize all the fun parts of your build, but safety items need to have a place in the budget too! We love these fireballs because unlike a typical fire extinguisher which needs to be manually operated, they will work both automatically or manually! They fight 3 classes of fires and are smaller, lighter, and way better looking than traditional fire extinguishers. Next we installed our two faucets, 3 stage water filter, plumbed the fresh water tank into the faucets, and the sink drain into the newly mounted grey water tank.

Now we were on to maximizing the storage in the closet at the end of the bed. We build several shelves and a drawer into each side of the closet. These drawers make a great vanity space in our bus! We then put strip lights all around the inside of the closet.

The final step this week was the button up the area above the booth. We had to keep this area open to run wires through it, but now that the electrical was finished, it was time to finish that area. We extended the ceiling down, finished the window framing, and hung our cute little woven pendant light.
