UNC REX Healthcare New Cancer Center
The UNC REX Healthcare New Cancer Center is a four-story 142,000 SF building .  The cancer center contains three Linear Accelerators, one High Dose Rate Brachytherapy, lab,  X-Ray rooms, infusion bays and compounding pharmacy.  Chilled water is generated via two air cooled chillers each at 300 Tons and distributed via three chilled water pumps.  Heating water is generated via two condensing boilers and distributed via three heating water pumps.  Five air handling units are serve the cancer center.  Each air handling unit is provided with a dedicated gas fired humidifier.  A dedicated unit is provided to serve the compounding pharmacy.  A domestic water booster pump is provided to help distribute water throughout the building.  Two domestic hot water heaters are provided for associated hot water needs in the building.  A generator is provided as required for life safety needs.
