COOLING TOWER PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE INSPECTION
Cooling tower annual PM
1. Pre-preperation
a. Gather all applicabletools.
2. Safety and work area preperarion.
a. Follow the plant safety procedure, do the permit work and Lockout / Tag out the asset.
b. Isolate the tower and drain water from the basin.
3. Visual Inspection.
a. Check the oil level of the fear box.
b. Check for oil leakage or grease seepages.
c. Preform virtual inspectionon the equipment base, grout, foundation and bolts.
d. Check for corrosion or rust.
e. Check the fan plate for crack or damage.
f. Check the fills condition.
g. Check the cooling tower construction
h. Check the piping system and nozzles.
4. Closing
a. Clean the gearbox and the motor surface and check for rush or corrusion (apply touchup painting if necessary).
5. Closing
a. Change the oil of the gearbox
b. Do greasing for the motor and value ( make sure the grease is not to much or less than the required).
c. Tight bolts for gearbox hoop and plate
d. Replace broken nozzle and pipes.
e. Check pitch angle and tip clearness.
6. Final check.
a. Check the alignment.
b. Check vibration
c. Check bearings temperature
