The YORK YMC2 and YZ water-cooled centrifugal chillers utilize magnetic bearing technology. This video showcases and explains a magnetic bearing driveline cutaway we have at our chiller factory in San Antonio, Texas.

This short video provides a high level explanation of the YORK magnetic bearing driveline technology. This friction-free and oil-free technology is used on the YORK YMC2 and YORK YZ water-cooled centrifugal chillers. During the demonstration we literally hit the driveline cutaway with a hammer to demonstrate the rapid response of the magnet.
