In this episode I am going to unbox, install and tune the flow of my 80w Pentair UV steriliser to target white spot on my dream reef tank build.

I'll go over how to put it together, tips and tricks when installing and the approach I am following in order to target 1080 litres per hour (285 gallons).

To work out the time for my 10 litre drum, I simply did the following:

Recommended flow rate is 1080litres per hour
Divide by 60 to get 18 litres per minute
Divide by 60 to get 0.3 litres per second
Divide 10/ 0.3 to get 33.33 seconds to fill my 10 litre volume.
