New Efficient and Compact Heat Recovery VRF Systems | Carrier® Variable Refrigerant Flow

Carrier is pleased to introduce its new Toshiba Carrier single-phase variable refrigerant flow (VRF) heat recovery system that will offer twinning capability to achieve greater capacity. In addition, Carrier is also pleased to announce the release of the new variable refrigerant flow (VRF) two-pipe heat pump and heat recovery systems line offering the most flexible, efficient and comprehensive portfolio of VRF products to our customers.

Thanks for joining me at the Carrier booth to check out the next big thing here in Las Vegas at the AHR expo.

There is a huge booth this year and there are a lot of dynamic products going on but I think one of the hottest topics of the 2017 show is still Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF).

There is a lot of buzz going on and there is a lot of buzz in this booth specifically because Carrier is showcasing not one, but two complete VRF product lines each with a pretty specific advantage for the marketplace. So let’s go check them out!

Starting on this side of the booth I’m standing next to the brand new E-series generation from Toshiba Carrier. This brand new E-series offering has a full range of enhancements including efficiencies over 30 IEER and it has expanded capacity ranges up to 38 tons.

These products are all connectable to our full controls offering and we are very excited to roll out our new single phase heat recovery product. We are taking the simultaneous heating and cooling technology that all the customers love and we are offering it in a single phase electrical connection. Now we not only have a 6 ton and a 12 ton single phase heat recovery product to offer that is a perfect solution for larger homes that are looking for real zoning.

If you take all of those advantages and you pair it with the 3, 4, or 5 ton heat pump single phase product and the 6 ton to 38 ton heat recovery product they are all connectable seamlessly to the Carrier i-Vu front end system and we can connect it to any other DX products on this floor with our DX integration kit.

With all of those things combined, it sets up a pretty good industry leading offering from Toshiba Carrier.

If we move over to the other side of the booth, we get to check out one of the other new products that Carrier is unveiling which is a second complete VRF product line. This product line is specifically designed by Carrier for the North American market. This brand new product line has a full offering of single phase and three phase equipment but offers the unique advantage to making the VRF install a lot less expensive by cutting down on that labor time and that is with a two pipe heat recovery installation. Now with just 2 pipes and the use of a multi-port distribution controller we can reduce the brazed joints on site and we can reduce the labor cost that it takes to install this VRF product.

One of the other huge enhancements to this product line is actually going to reduce the footprint dramatically on site and that is with the offering of a single module heat recovery product up to 28 tons. Just picture a 20 ton VRF system on a single base rail with a single electrical connection and the amount of time and space that is going to save on site. That’s big!
