In this video I arrive in China for the very first time, landing at Shanghai Pudong Airport and showing you exactly what the China arrival process looks like in 2025. From baggage to exiting the terminal, I walk you through it step by step.

To get downtown, I jump on the Shanghai Metro, using China’s cashless systems for the first time. Watch along as I try to pay with Alipay and figure out how the apps work when you’ve just arrived in the country.

My hotel check-in wasn’t until the afternoon, so I headed straight to a viral 24-hour Chinese spa to shower after the flight, relax, and eat a ridiculous amount of good food. I give you a full tour of the facilities before grabbing a taxi to my hotel. Once I finally check in, I show you the full hotel and room tour.

China has been on my bucket list for years, so I’m excited to share my honest first-time experience in Shanghai.
