A 56 year old man identified as Anwar Shaikh who is an ex-employee of Mormugao Port Trust was found murdered at Vidyanagar Colony, Zuarinagar in Sancoale on Saturday night.
The body of Anwar was found in the internal road near Bridge Stone Store close to SBI Bank.
Two persons who were passerby spotted the body in a pool of blood and alerted the Verna police.
Police are confident of detecting the case.
Perhaps this is the second incident of murder in Verna police station jurisdiction in about a week. Earlier, the murder took place under subway near Verna IDC and the police have immediately cracked the case.
