E-12 is a sensor temp error in the reading of the temperature of water In your aquarium chiller. This is due to the temp probe no longer working/sensing water temp. Time to replace the old and swap for a new probe.
Hope this video helps with these JBJ chillers as well 1/5,1/3,1/4,1/10 to whom ever is in need of a replacement probe to your JBJ chiller.

The mini JBJ chiller requires a different make/install sensor probe.
