We attended an apartment here very recently, and came to find these extractor fans certainly aren't a straight swap if you want the extractor fan working as intended!

The ducting presented in the ceiling (which your extractor fan connects to) can be quite tricky to connect up to properly. There's 4 fairly key pitfalls that need to be overcome, and I will suggest unless you've got quite a bit experience with fans and ducting, you are likely to struggle quite a bit!
