2. Shut off the water supply: Locate the water shut-off valve near the base of the toilet and turn it clockwise to stop the water flow. Flush the toilet to drain any remaining water in the tank and bowl.

3. Remove the old toilet: Disconnect the water supply line and unscrew the nuts securing the toilet to the floor. Lift the toilet off the flange and place it on a tarp or old towels. Scrape off the old wax ring from the flange.

4. Prepare the new toilet: Install the new wax ring onto the flange, ensuring it's centered. Check the toilet bowl for any wax rings or gaskets that may need to be attached.

5. Position the new toilet: Carefully lower the toilet onto the flange, aligning the mounting bolts with the holes in the base of the toilet. Gently press down to compress the wax ring and create a watertight seal.
