Began his journey as an ambitious young leader 25 years ago, Dr. Biplab Kumar Biswal held prestigious positions at big corporates, launched and led innovative research projects and successfully transformed abstract ideas and complex concepts into tangible tools, effective processes and workable systems.

Made a name for himself in the industry, he continued his journey in search of ultimate wisdom and eventually transformed into a great mentor. His natural inclination towards teaching and the desire to share the hard-earned knowledge with the young generation must have brought him to the Kirloskar Institute.
The profound knowledge and acumen in the research domain and the vast industry experience he brought along with him have been rightly honored by the institute.
Dr. Biplab Kumar Biswal is the director of KIAMS Harihar. He is a triple postgraduate (Commerce, Law & HRM) and also holds a PhD in Marketing. (He is the director of Kirloskar Chillers Private Limited as well).

His illustrious career began a quarter century ago, and after spending 12 years in the industry and 13 years in academics, needless to say, he must have matchless expertise in bridging the gaps between the domains.
During his time in the corporate world, he held key positions at giant organizations like Birlas, The Professional Couriers and NIIT Limited. After the successful stints, he turned his attention to research & consulting and worked with prestigious entities like International Council on Mining and Metals, German International Cooperation and Ministry of Housing and Urban Development.

After making a valuable contribution as a Senior National Technical Expert to Sustainable Urban Development of Smart Cities Project, Dr. Biplab Kumar Biswal eventually chose academics for good and joined KIAMS. Under his astute leadership, our institute has been setting an example for the rest in the education sector in every aspect, right from pedagogy to placements.

In the upcoming videos, our director is going to share with us some very interesting facts about KIAMS, glorious history, uniqueness, contribution of Kirloskar Group, placements, alumni network and many other dimensions of the institute.
Also, he will be sharing his valuable insights on disruptive technologies, paradigm shifts in the industry and how management students can build a sustainable and successful career in the corporate world.
