Hoa Lư City in Ninh Binh Province was the ancient capital of the Dinh Dynasty—the first dynasty to unify northern and southern Vietnam. Hidden within the karst landscape of this historic capital lies Vietnam’s only UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage site: the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex. Often referred to as “Ha Long Bay on land,” Trang An is a breathtaking fusion of mysterious temples and ancient ruins, stunning caves and underground rivers, and majestic hills and winding waterways. Together, they create a surreal and unparalleled natural wonder that stands out across Vietnam.
